Data si locul nasterii: S-a nascut la 9 Septembrie 1958 in Horezu, jud. Valcea.

Educatia: Absolvent in 1982 al Facultatii de Matematica, Universitatea Bucuresti.
Teza de doctorat: Doctor in Matematici din 1994 cu teza "Differential Geometry of (Pseudo)-Riemannian Manifolds Admitting Certain Endomorphisms of Tangent Bundles and Their Submanifolds" la Universitatea Catolica din Leuven, Belgia.
Pozitii academice: Asistent din 1988, lector din 1995, conferentiar din 1997.
Cursuri predate: A predat cursuri de Geometrie Diferentiala, Geometria varietatilor complexe, Geometria subvarietatilor in varietati complexe, Functii convexe pe varietati riemanniene (Master).
Domenii de interes stiintific: Desfasoara o bogata activitate stiintifica in geometria diferentiala a varietatilor (pseudo)-riemanniene inzestrate cu G-structuri si a subvarietatilor acestora, teoria invariantilor Chen si aplicatii.

Laureat al Permiului "Gh. Titeica" al Academiei Romane (1995).
